Question: What is my legal obligation as the holder of the Will of a deceased person?

Answer: One who possesses the Will must send it to the personal representative, with a copy sent to the probate clerk of the county where the decedent lived.

The concealment or destruction of a Will or Codicil to a Will, with intent to prevent its probate or to defraud anyone who would take under the will is a felony. The crime may be punishable by imprisonment and by a fine.
