The Sumner County Women’s Council of Realtors held their annual Awards Luncheon and Installation of Officers December 20th at Blue Grass Country Club. Installing the incoming officers for 2013 was Brenda Brewster, 2013 WCR State President. The 2013 Line Officers are pictured left to right. Wendy Suttle, President; Cindy Malone, President Elect; Karlie Kee, VP of Membership; and Leslie Light, Treasurer. Not pictured is Brandi Green, Secretary.

2012 Awards of Recognition were presented to the following:

Most Guests Invited:

A new award this year. WCR encourages members to bring guests to the meetings and wished to acknowledge the person who has throughout this year invited the most guests.
The first annual Most Guests invited award went to Linda Moore.

The referral Star Award:

A new award this year. In May President, Vicki Smith announced the 2012 Referral Contest. A member in good standing receives one point for every referral placed with another member in good standing. The winner will also receive dues paid for the following year. This year referrals were only calculated from the date of the announcement of the contest.
With 61 logged referrals the first annual Referral Star Award went to Cheryl Bretz.

Rookie of the Year

A new award this year. The Rookie of the Year Award goes to a newer member who has in the past year become an active and supportive member making a notable contribution to the life of the Sumner County Chapter. The 2012 winner has gotten involved in record time becoming an invaluable part of the organization serving on the Ways and Means Committee and will serve as 2013 Secretary.
The 2012 Rookie of the Year went to Brandi Green.

Entrepreneur of the Year

The Entrepreneur of the Year Award is awarded to a Realtor member who has exhibited business leadership in their work and community. The Entrepreneur of the Year is awarded to a Realtor Member who has achieved something notable in business. To be eligible the applicant must be a Realtor for and least one year and a Sumner County WCR Member for a minimum of one year. This year’s winner will serve WCR as VP of membership and is the outgoing SAR President.
Karlie Kee is the 2012 Entrepreneur of the Year Award Winner.

Affiliate of the Year

The Affiliate of the Year Award goes to the Affiliate Member who has made a notable contribution to the life of the chapter during the past year. To be eligible the winner must be a National or Local Affiliate and Local Chapter officers are not ineligible for the award during or within one year after their term of office. This year’s winner did a tremendous job as the 2012 Parade of Homes Chair.
The 2012 Affiliate of the Year Award went to Jeff Stine.

Member of the Year

The Member of the Year is awarded to a Realtor member who has made a notable contribution to the life of the chapter. To be eligible the Realtor must be a current member and must have been a Realtor for a minimum of one year. Further Local Chapter officers are ineligible for the award during or within one year after their term of office. This year’s winner is a long time member of the Sumner County Chapter having served as a past president and was an invaluable part of the 2012 Parade of Homes Committee.
The 2012 Member of the Year Award went to Becca Pendergrast.

President’s Award

The President’s Choice Award goes to a Realtor or Affiliate Member at the choice of the President. This award is given in appreciation for a member’s outstanding contribution to the Chapter and assistance to the President. The 2012 Award winner stepped in late year with no hesitation whatsoever when asked to accept the President Elect position before year end.
The 2012 President’s Award was awarded to Wendy Suttle.
